I clapped my hands together with enough force to make it nice and loud. “Alright so now that were all here, I would like to get introductions out of the way. Ya know names, or nicknames if you prefer. Then a little about you, like grade and if your new or not. Give us some idea of you past experiences of high school, if you have none tell us what you think it’s going to be like.” I tried my best not to sound like an over perky camp councilor, but with the material I was working it was really hard. “I’ll start, my name is Elizabeth, but I go by Izzy as you all know by now. I’ve been coming to school in these parts since I was aloud to start school. I’m a junior and high school for me has been all about making a point to others weather it’s through cheerleading or through just being me.” After having said that I pulled my hair into a ponytail just to have something to do I guessed. “Okay anyone can go next.”

.:Athena:. I shrugged. "I'll go." I said, before I began.
"I'm Athena," I grinned, feeling like I was in a support group, "I'm a Junior, too, and I'm kind of new. I spent the past few years in Greece." I continued, secretly challenging anyone to try and top me. "And... 'past expiriences,' Izzy? What the hell?" I giggled. I knew this would earn me a dirty look, but she knew I was just kidding.

I waved my hand nonchalantly at her. “Hey as captain, sounding like a corny camp councilor is part of the job at times.” I smiled playfully at her. “Anyway, it’s nice of you to come from Greece and grace us with your presence.” I bowed graciously at her; my face still carried a pleasant smile when I came back up. “Well I guess if your done we can move on.” I looked around hoping I wouldn’t have to start calling people out.

I turned to face Izzy on the bench, giggling quietly at the sheer eagerness of her words. A blonde went next and then a completely new conversation was started. I hoped that I'd soon have friends to joke around with too... Perhaps, just to kick start that, I should introduce myself? My face turned red, but I raised my hand anyway, silently asking if I could go next. I stood and brushed down the back of my shorts, despite the fact that the bench was spotless.
"Um... My name is Peach." I said, my voice gathering volume slowly as I gained a bit more confidence. "I'm new here, so I don't really know anyone. I come from Washington... Ah. I was a cheerleader there too, but the school was tiny. And... That's about it." I decided to leave my personal life out of it, not mentioning my family or pets.

My eyes lit up when Peach mentioned that she had been on the cheer squad at her old school. “Well Peach I look forward to learning a thing or six from you when we get started.” I was aware that I had changed the saying, but I was sure peach had more then a few things to share. I smiled at her to silently express my eagerness to make use of her knowledge.

I smiled shyly at Izzy, thankful that she had paid attention to me. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to show her six things, because my old team had only consisted of four girls and a boy. It had been a small school and we'd only been allowed to stick to basic things and self-taught illusions. Even so, maybe I could throw in some suggestions.
I grabbed my foot, pulling it behind me to pull my calf muscles, waiting for someone else to introduce themselves.

I held my hand up, though I was fully aware that it wasn't necessary. "I guess I'll go," I put my hand down and stood up, "Well, I'm Michaela, and I'm in tenth grade. I went to school in the next town over until this year and I didn't make the cheer squad there, so yeah, I'm new at this school and to cheer leading. But my brother's been going here his whole life. He's the tattooed weirdo." I smiled and sat down. Sean deserved it.

I had taken me forever to find the music cases. Mine specifically. Izzy's hadn't been too difficult to find but I had turned my room upside down trying to find mine. I'd finally found it underneath a pair of my jeans that I had tossed on the floor. I was dressed in my typical band t-shirt and distressed jeans, my wallet chain rattling quietly as I walked. I walked up to Izzy, holding out the music cases. "Sorry it took so long. My music was hiding from me." I smiled charmingly. "I'm sure you'll find a place for Kill Hannah in your routine."

.:Athena:. I smirked to myself as some random emo-looking kid came into the gym, carrying a CD. I smirked to myself, imagining myself asking him if he was gonna cheer with us, and commenting about the little mini-skirts we have to wear. Michaela would join in, too, if I said anything, I was sure. But I figured he was one of Izzy's friends, and I didn't quite think she'd appreciate me making fun of him.

A large smile came to my face when Shannon strolled into the gym carrying what was needed to complete practice. “Bout time you got here, I thought maybe you got sidetracked and just decided to forget about me.” I walked over to Shannon and took a hold on the collection of music he had brought, although I didn’t pull it away just yet. “Kill Hannah huh? Yeah I’ll see what I can do about that.” My voice carried a hint of playfulness in it. “Thanks again Birdy, you can stay if you want.” It was then that I pulled the music from his hand a smirk on my face.

I shrugged. "Nothing better to do I suppose." I began to walk toward the bleachers. "Even if I think it's a stupid sport," I said under my breath, meaning it as a joke. I sat on the bleachers, second row up and leaned back, resting my elbows on the row above me. I suppose this was better than an afternoon spent staring at a blank canvas trying to think of something to paint.

I wasn’t sure what it was that Shannon had said, but I’m sure it was one of his smart-ass remarks. Not having anything to throw at him, I waited till he was sitting down and looking my way once more so that I could stick my tongue out at him. “Okay anyway, anyone else got anything else they want to say before we start?” I looked around at everyone.

.:Athena:. I glanced around, and no one really seemed like they were going to say anything... or at least it didn't look like it to me... but we'll wait and see.
I glanced over at Michaela, who just kind of seemed to be staring off into space. Peach had already introduced herself... the only person who hadn't spoken up was the emo girl in the corner... but who honestly actually expected her to say anything?

Iris cleared her throat knowing some of the girls here didn't like her presence here which just entertained her more then ever. She put a loch of hair behind her ear gaining the attention on her when she cleared her throat, "Hey, I'm Iris. I've never actually been on a squad before but I was in gymnastics for like 5 or 6 years." She felt smug and cocky that she knew she wasn't going to be left behind
She glanced at the girl named Athena and scoffed quietly. She looked back to Izzy, "But that's pretty much it."

Michaela
So the emo girl was "Iris", apparently. I would have thought it was something dark and depressing like "Willow" or whatever, but I guess it would be difficult to predict that your kid was gonna be emo and name it appropriately. My mind began to trail off thinking about what everyone's name would be if it really fit them. My parents should have named Sean something really uncivilized sounding, like Billy Joe. And I would have to be something really fancy and pretty sounding, like the name of a flower. I didn't know which, though.
Iris sounded sort of smug about being in gymnastics, which sort of made me envious until I realized that she wasn't going to fit in here very well, so it was only fair that she have experience.
I propped my legs on the row of bleachers in front of me and sighed quietly, trying to relax. I glanced over at Athena, who was looking around curiously. ooc; this post doesn't really have a point.
