I strolled into the gym wearing my warm up uniform and dropped my duffel bag on the floor only to drop down next to it and rummage through it. I pulled out my Mini-stereo and plugged it in to the wall socket that was near by. When I went back to my bag to pull out my music though it was nowhere to be found. “Oh of course the first day of practice and I forget the music.” I was about to pack up and leave a note on the door showing practice would be later, but then a better plan dawned on me. I pulled out my cell and punched in Shannon’s number. After a few minutes of conversing I hung up, a smile on my face. I could always count on him to always be my hero.
With the weight of the lack of music gone I decided to get an early start on my stretches. After I had gotten the basics done I took it up to the fully body stretches. I stood up and bent backwards until my palms were flat on the floor. It was what was called a bridge for obvious reasons I suspected. It was sort of fun to see the world upside down so I decided to push myself up onto my hands and walked around. That’s when one of the girls showed up. I almost waved but realized before I did that it would end badly so instead I said hello. “Hey there, welcome to practice.”

I quickened my pace as I squeaked down the halls. I'd never been to this part of the school. The lady in the front office had told me that the Gym was basically the biggest area in the school and that I should be able to find it easily... Why, then, had I been walking for almost ten minutes? I was almost getting ready to turn around when I saw large doors, "GYM" printed on a sign above them. Letting out a sigh of relief, I pushed through, making my way into the room. It was much bigger than any Gym I had ever been in before, so I ignored the girl stretching near-by, gazing around me in awe instead. This was going to be awesome. My old school's cheer squad had had to practice in an old garage before. "Hi..." I murmured shyly, blushing when I realized I'd have to be a bit more outgoing in the future. "I'm Peach Greene." I smiled slightly, setting down my messenger bag and giving my clothes a once over. I didn't look as bad as I thought I would, despite the fact that this particular tracksuit had been made for kids a few years younger than me. She doesn't seem so bad... I thought, giving this cheerleader a quick glance.

I tipped back onto my feet and launched into an upright position so that I could properly greet Peach. I dusted my hands off on my yellow sweat pants and waved casually. “Hey there Peach good to meet you I’m Izzy Morris. My big promise to anyone that joins the squad, I’m not the air headed blonde that I appear to be or that you always see in the movies.” I put on a big grin hoping she found my joke to be at least sort of funny.

.:Athena:. I nonchalantly made my way into the gym, and I heard the cheer captain- Izzy -reciting her "big promise" to one of the girls which was obviously new. I didn't recognize her...
I threw my duffel bag into the bleachers. "Hey," I smiled, "I'm Athena." I introduced myself to the new girl. "How's it going Izzy?" I asked in a friendly manor.

I smiled widely when Athena walked in. “Well their Athena it seems the summer was good to you. You look lovely as always.” I playfully winked at her before looking to the door. I was expecting the last of the lot to show up any time now.

I nodded, with an appreciative smile. "You're not so bad youself, Iz." I complimented as I grabbed my foot behind my back and began stretching it, gracefully keeping my balance, for once.

Michaela
I walked around the school, struggling to remember what I had seen previously in here. If Sean had given me a decent tour, I wouldn't be having this problem.
It turned out the gym was pretty close to the front entrance, and that by entering through the side door, I was setting myself up. I looked into the small window in the door to see what was going on. There were three girls, one of which was Athena. If Athena hadn't been there, I would have been reluctant, but since she was, I immediately pushed the door open.
"Hey!" I said in a friendly manner. I first looked at Athena, and then at the other two.

Upon figuring that Iris was not here yet and that the other two were Peach and Athena. I could only assume that the newest one was Michaela. “Hey there, Michaela right?” I brought one of my arms across my chest so that I could stretch my arm muscles again. “I’m Izzy Morris it’s nice to meet you.”

Iris walked down the huge halls of the school. She remembered her first year here and that every corner she turned she would get more lost. She was thankful that she was now use to the school and knew all the shortcuts and such around here.
She wore her gym class outfit that she bought a while ago. Her hair was tied up in a messy pony tail. She didn't want to be on the cheer team. Honestly she knew what type of girls were there. The type of girl like Sean's sister.
Iris shook her head as she reached the door. She put her hand on the handle just resting it there. She didn't make any movement to open it. Iris' mother had told her to join cheer-leading that it build character, self-esteem. But if any of these girls were the type form any high school movie, then Iris would have to prepare for the wort.
She pushed the doors open seeing a couple of girls in there already, of course there were. Iris wasn't always one to be early to things that made her nervous. Usually Iris was a care-free girl that liked to try new things, but this was not one of the things on her list. Yeah she was flexible enough, but the girls that she saw here didn't seem very welcoming

I heard the door open again. Out of the cornet of my eyes I saw dark hair. My first guess was Shannon, but instead it was Iris. All the same it made me feel good. That just meant that what little family we had was now together. I released my stretch and waved my hand way above my head. “Hey there Iris how’s it kickin?”

Michaela
"Mhm," I nodded at Izzy's question, "Nice to meet you too." I was glad to see that everyone here looked like people I could get along with. Then again, who would be cheerleading other than people who I could get along with.
As soon as I decided to think that, some emo walked in. As she walked closer, I could see her face better, and realized she was the girl Sean had been with at the beach. Oh, this is f**king peachy, I thought.
I had no idea why she was here. None at all. I decided not to make a rude comment for once, and stood there blankly.

Iris put some hair behind her ear smiling at the girl named Izzy in front of her. She remembered her from the dance not too long ago. All she really remembered is when iris went up to her she left her alone with her friend.
Iris thought Izzy didn't like her, and now Izzy probably was disappointed that she had come. She asked her what was kickin' and she didn't know what to say. Nothing really happened for her today.
She was just about to turn around until she saw one person she hated. Sean's sister Michaela. She looked displeased that I was here, but it humored Iris that she could annoy someone that greatly just because of the way she looked.
Iris fixed the strap of her bag making it lay comfortably on her shoulder. Iris knew that it was better to just ignore her, "Oh not much really, just really phyced about practice." Iris smiled cheerfully, might as well make it though this, even if she felt totally unwanted.

I smiled shyly at Michaela and then a bit more confidently at Izzy. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all. I was glad to have some confirmation that they weren't ditsy bimbos. Planting a firm look of calm on my face, I stepped over to a bench, throwing myself into a warm-up.
As a few more girls arrived, my feeling of faint belonging began to shrink. Would all of them like me? I had never been much of the bouncy, outgoing girl a cheerleader was supposed to be. I didn't know their traditions. My old team had been small and comfortable. All of us had been the best of friends. Would these cheerleaders accept the quiet, nerdy girl into their clique.
My heart felt like a ball of lead as I turned around, determined to get myself into their good books. But there seemed so many of them. I couldn't fake my way into one of their hearts when there'd be other people watching my embarrassing friendliness.
In the end, I decided that sitting back onto the bench and twisting my ankles around and around would be easier.

.:Arthena:. "Hey Michaela." I greeted, a little too late. Izzy had greeted her first. Oh, well. I motioned Michaela over, then I noticed the emo girl walk in. What the hell is she doing here? Maybe she walked into the wrong room...

Michaela
Athena motioned for me to go over to her, so I stood next to her. I could tell by the look on her face that she was thinking the same thing about the emo girl. Well, except she probably wasn't thinking that her brother was a freaking weirdo and had horrible taste in girls, because I doubted Athena's brother was dating her too.
ooc; Michaela is evil.
