It was getting dark, the evening light had finally made the streetlights come on. Oddly enough, I didn't worry in the least for my safety. Jase had called me and asked me to check out the next location he had to do a setup for. It was a building I hadn't noticed until now. I found the place, right next to my favorite place in town, Rath and Ruins. From what Jase had told me, he had already called the manager and all I had to do was tell him I was going to send some pictures to Jase.
I tugged the heavy metal door open and walked in. The inside of the building was cool, probably due to the fact that the building was half underground. The bouncer at the door looked at me briefly before going back to leaning against the wall. The building was pretty empty at the moment since no bands were playing. Some people were hanging around talking despite the lack of entertainment. Music played from the strategically placed speakers. I recognized it as something I listened to... probably AFI or Secondhand Serenade or the like.
I looked over at the corner of the room near the door. There was a small bar there and some guy behind it waving me over. I shrugged and walked over. He looked like the manager.
"You lookin' for something?"
I nodded before explaining. "My brother is doing an equipment setup here in a week or two. Jase Devine?"
In a moment of clarity the manager nodded. "Yes, he said he would need to know the layout before doing the setup. Is that what you're here for."
"Yeah. Mind if I take some pictures?"
He shook his head. "Not at all. I'll be right here if you need to know anything."
I pulled my digital camera out of my backpack and took the necessary amount of pictures. When I was finished, I decided to sit down on one of the benches lining the rooms edges. I sat near a corner, contouring my shoulders to sit comfortably. I relaxed, enjoying the familiar atmosphere of the place.
